Seoul-ful shopping!
From the high-street vibe of Myeong-dong, to the boutiques in Hongdae and Samcheong-dong, and to the fashion district of Dongdaemun, Seoul is simply a shopper’s paradise. Be prepared to shell out some cash, however. Shopping here is not as cheap as we thought it would be, even in Dongdaemun which is like the Korean equivalent of Greenhills. It was tiangge-like minus the tiangge prices.
One thing that’s cheap here, though, is the make-up. Beauty stores are literally everywhere. In Myeong-dong, there’s practically one of each brand in every street. So if you’re a fan of Korean brands such as The Face Shop, Skinfood, Missha, Etude House, and the rest, you cannot miss splurging on these items because the price difference from the ones in they sell in the Philippines is huge. Case in point: the Missha perfect cover BB cream sold for 15,800 won there, which is roughly around 600 pesos. In the Missha store here in Manila, they sell the same product at a whopping 1,600 pesos! See what I mean?
So there, I think this will be my last post based on my little trip. I think I’ve milked it out for what it’s worth :)) So back to regular programming, folks (and by that I mean Downton Abbey reblogs).
