Reading “Before Ever After” by Samantha Sotto…

Am I the only one not impressed by this book? Well, to be honest I’m only about a third of the way in, but I’m finding it such a chore to read because the writing is just cringeworthy. It’s so amateur-ish. I’ve read fanfiction that are better written than this! I mean, what is up with all those unnecessary metaphors and similes? And so many details are lacking, giving away the lack of research that went into this book.

Anyway, I’m still willing to continue reading this thing, but the story better get pretty damn interesting or else I’m giving this up as a lost cause. Let me get to the halfway mark and then we’ll see.
